InSciEd Out team “caught on camera” at the March for Science

Crocheted zebrafish hats could be found circulating the crowd at the April, 2017 March for Science in Washington, D.C.

InSciEd Out founders Steve Ekker and Chris Pierret participated in the march with their families and caught some notice due to the unique hats they donned. The zebrafish hats were commissioned for the event through a selection process that included several entrants. The final hats could be seen with their owners on the main webpages of both Science Magazine and Wired.com. The damp weather seemed to keep the zebrafish comfortable in their preferred element.
